The foul is &#8220;upgraded&#8221; to an intentional foul and therefore A1 is awarded 2-points for the made basket and the shoots two-free throws. At the end of the second free-throw, Team A is awarded a throw-in at one of the four designated throw-in spots nearest the foul.<\/p>\n<p>If an intentional foul occurs while in the act of shooting on a three-point try and the basket is made, the shooter is awarded the 3-points and then shoots two free throws.
